About The Role

Makai Labs is seeking a highly talented and adaptable Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will support multiple stages of client engagement, from initial discovery to post-launch support. Your primary responsibility will be to understand how our clients operate by conducting interviews, analyzing documentation, and mapping their current workflows into detailed process diagrams. You will work closely with clients to capture their existing processes, systems, and data flows, providing critical insights that inform the development of tailored automation solutions. During the discovery phase, you will assist the engineering team by documenting the IT infrastructure and systems used by client teams, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the technical environment. You may also have opportunities to contribute to prototype development, aligning early-stage solutions with client needs.

Post-discovery, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including designers, product managers, and engineers—to design solutions, test new features, and refine functionalities based on user feedback. You will play a key role in training users during pilot phases, capturing their feedback, and maintaining a living roadmap for ongoing improvements. As solutions are deployed, you will provide ongoing support, troubleshooting issues, and adding enhancements to optimize usability and performance. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth, particularly for those aspiring to transition into Product Management, as you will gain exposure to product lifecycle management, stakeholder communication, and project coordination. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a business analyst, financial analyst, or computer science role
• Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms within an Agile framework
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience in documenting workflows and creating process diagrams; process mining experience is a plus
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management processes and tools
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, especially AI and ML projects

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand client workflows by conducting interviews and reviewing documentation
