Job Description
About the Company
Every day, physicians send patients somewhere โ to a specialist, for imaging, for therapy, to any care beyond their own walls โ and their referral options still come from memory, habit, or a stale directory. We're a self-funded healthcare-AI company replacing that guesswork: an AI-powered platform where physicians find, vet, and direct patients to the right care using real quality and access data, and coordinate what follows. V1 is in beta and the core matching technology genuinely works. The next stage is the one that matters: becoming the tool physicians reach for every day they practice.
About the Role
That's the job for our next Head of Product.
Responsibilities
- Product strategy and the roadmap. What gets built, in what order, and what doesn't โ the final call is yours.
- A fast discovery loop. You'll build working prototypes yourself with AI tools in days, put them in front of real clinicians, and make the go or no-go call in weeks. Senior engineers take what's validated and build it into production; discovery and prototyping are yours end to end.
- Clinical validation. You own how the product gets validated โ the clinician review panels and the rubric they hold it to. A feature isn't done until it clears that bar and a provider can use it in the live product.
- The user-to-buyer evidence case. Our users are individual physicians and their delegated staff; the larger buyers are healthcare organizations โ value-based care groups, self-insured employers, payers. You'll instrument provider usage to win the organizational contracts.
- The market relationship. Weekly provider conversations, site visits, industry events โ you're the company's most external-facing product voice.

We've built an operating model we believe in: fast loops, clinical validation as the definition of "done," depth over breadth. You'll own it, pressure-test it, and evolve it as the company grows.
What success looks like
- At 90 days: you've run the loop end to end โ prototype, validate, decide โ and re-centered the roadmap on the product's differentiating core.
- At 12 months: the matching experience is the product's clear differentiator, live and panel-validated and improving on real usage; you're focused on MAU growth and market penetration, and at least one organizational buyer is engaging with the provider-usage evidence you've built.
Qualifications
- Senior product leadership at an early-stage company, with real zero-to-one experience: you've taken a product from nothing to engaged daily use.
- A product bet you walked away from on live user signals โ and the judgment to know when to double down instead.
- Experience with products where the user and the buyer can be different people, and with instrumenting usage to convince the buyer.
- Expert-in-the-loop validation experience โ clinical panels, expert review, or safety evaluation โ treated as the heart of the product loop, not a checkbox.
- You build with AI daily: you personally create working prototypes with modern AI tools and modify them on the fly, in a working session, in front of a user, without waiting on a designer or engineer. You judge model behavior firsthand.
- Player-coach range: on day one you are the product function, and you'll shape what it becomes.
- Obsession with what turns users onto the platform and keeps them engaged.

Preferred Skills
- Healthcare background is not required; learning velocity and credibility with clinicians is. Practicing or former clinicians (MD/DO/NP) with real product leadership experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Provider-facing or clinical-workflow products; referral networks, marketplaces, or provider-data experience.
- Products that earn daily use from busy professionals โ consumer-grade engagement craft in a professional tool.
Pay range and compensation package
$200,000โ$250,000 base plus equity. Self-funded by design: committed multi-year capital, no fundraising clock, no investor-driven pivots. Fully remote (US), with travel to providers and industry events.
