Job Description
We are seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer for a customer-facing consulting role. Our mission is to help organisations scale their use of AWS Cloud and adopt DevOps practices to achieve their business objectives and respond effectively to change.
Your day-to-day role
- Assist with DevOps adoption, both in spirit and through automation
- Assist with adoption of infrastructure as code: Terraform and pipelines, with Cloudformation/CDK experience a plus
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders at engineering, operations and management level
- Provide operational support and cloud engineering during business hours - handling common changes across compute, storage, networking and identity and driving proactive improvements such as cost optimisation, security posture remediation and configuration consistency, within established change-management processes
Your skills
- You have a strong AWS Cloud background, including EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda etc.
- You hold current associate or ideally professional AWS certifications
- You have a DevOps mindset and you are comfortable challenging the status quo
- You have experience being customer-facing
- You have a positive and friendly mindset and attitude
- You are a team player that proactively shares knowledge and provides feedback
- You are fluent in both spoken and written English
- You can take ideas from concept to implementation and you are an Engineer at heart
- You have some architecture experience
- You enjoy exploring new services and technologies
- High proficiency with Claude Code and with AI generally, paired with the discipline to critically validate and review AI-generated output - you treat it as a capable assistant - not an oracle - and you own the correctness
- A strong track record with AWS implementation and deployment automation
- A good understanding of modern software development practices, CI/CD & testing
- Experience of working in and evangelising Agile practices
- Experience with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild and CodeCommit a plus
- Comprehensive experience with Terraform, Python & Bash - Cloudformation and CDK a plus
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Elastic Beanstalk an advantage
- Comfortable working independently within an operational environment
- A good understanding and experience of AWS Organizations and Control Tower a plus

Schedule
The role is on a contract basis, initially for 6 months with scope for renewal. The contract is ordinarily 5 days per week and work is carried out within customer business hours (Europe).
Location
The role is 100% remote. You must hold a European Union passport and you and your company must reside in the EU.
Rate
Eur. 450,- to 525,- per day depending on experience.
