About the Role
Client is seeking an experienced Senior Product Security Engineer for one of our industry-leading clients in the medical device industry.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on securing embedded and connected medical devices throughout the entire product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background, expertise in Python and scripting, and extensive experience in product security, embedded systems, and medical device security.
You will work closely with firmware, software, systems, and engineering teams to design secure products, perform threat modeling, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.

- Design and implement security architecture for embedded and connected medical devices.
- Lead secure-by-design initiatives, including threat modeling and risk assessments.
- Develop security solutions for authentication, encryption, secure communications, and data protection.
- Partner with firmware, software, and systems engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Perform security reviews and support secure coding practices.
- Coordinate third-party penetration testing engagements and drive remediation activities.
- Lead product vulnerability management, including identification, tracking, and mitigation of security risks.
- Support operating system and platform hardening (Windows/Linux).
- Develop and maintain security standards, processes, and SOPs.
- Ensure products meet regulatory and cybersecurity requirements for medical devices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Product Security, Cybersecurity, or Software Engineering.
- Strong experience securing medical devices or regulated healthcare products.
- Hands-on experience designing security architecture for embedded or connected systems.
- Software development background with strong Python and scripting experience.
- Experience with embedded systems, firmware, Linux, or Windows platforms.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Threat Modeling
- Vulnerability Management
- Penetration Testing
- Secure Software Development
- Secure Authentication and Encryption
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
