Location: Remote, United States (Eastern Time preferred)
The Business Analyst/Product Owner serves as the bridge between client vision and global technical execution.
Directly reporting to the Program Manager, they take full ownership of client accounts, ensuring that our digital learning solutions not only meet specifications but also drive successful educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stakeholder Management & Strategy
- Act as the primary point of contact for diverse client stakeholders.
- Navigate dynamic client environments to extract true business needs versus "nice-to-have" requests.
- Manage client expectations and maintain a transparent, high-trust relationship to ensure account retention and success.
2. Global Team Guidance & Alignment
- Be the "voice of the client" for offshore development teams, ensuring they understand the why behind the features.
- Provide clear, actionable guidance to remote engineering teams to ensure delivery aligns with the broader client perspective and quality standards.
- Coordinate effectively across different regions to ensure the development pipeline never stalls.

3. Product Ownership & Documentation
- Define the product vision and maintain a prioritized backlog that balances client urgency with long-term platform stability.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed User Stories, Flowcharts, and Functional Specifications.
- Own the "Definition of Ready" and "Definition of Done," ensuring the engineering team has zero ambiguity.
4. Account Ownership & Delivery
- Partner closely with the Program Manager to track project health, risks, and milestones.
- Lead Sprint Demos and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) sessions with clients to secure sign-offs.
- Proactively manage scheduling to support client meetings and team huddles as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or an education-related field.
- 3–5 years experience in a dual PO/BA role, ideally within EdTech or SaaS.
- Highly proficient in data analysis, market understanding, and problem-solving.
- Proven experience working with offshore/distributed teams.
- Ability to mentor team members on client business logic.
- Capable of working flexible hours to ensure success, appearing on calls and syncs as needed to support a dynamic, global workflow.
- Deep Technical Literacy, with ability to discuss high-level strategy with senior stakeholders and granular logic with backend Engineers, and to translate technical jargon into educational value.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and wireframing tools (Figma/Balsamiq, etc.).
Work Conditions
- Coordination with the teams globally may require calls/meetings outside of core hours. LearningMate has offices in India, the U.S.A., and global clients, with employees worldwide.
- The work environment is primarily indoors at home and as needed, at a client's office or other settings, with minimal to moderate noise; travel will include outdoor environmental elements.
