We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Test Automation Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team delivering high-quality mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mobile test strategy, automation frameworks, API testing, CI/CD integration, and quality engineering practices.

You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies for native and hybrid mobile applications, ensuring seamless user experiences, secure transactions, and reliable end-to-end integrations across Android and iOS platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Quality Assurance

• Define and execute comprehensive test strategies for mobile applications.
• Design and maintain test plans covering:
• Mobile user journeys
• Backend integrations
• End-to-end business workflows
• Regression testing
• Functional and non-functional testing
• Ensure high software quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to define quality objectives and acceptance criteria.

Mobile Test Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for mobile applications.
• Develop automation scripts using:
• Espresso (Android)
• XCUITest (iOS)
• Improve automation coverage and optimize execution time.

• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration pipelines.
• Maintain reusable automation components and test libraries.

Mobile Platform Testing

• Perform testing across multiple mobile platforms and device configurations.
• Validate functionality on:
• Native Android applications
• Native iOS applications
• Hybrid mobile applications
• Execute compatibility testing across different:
• Device models
• Screen sizes
• Operating system versions
• Ensure consistent user experience across supported platforms.

API & Backend Testing

• Validate backend services and API integrations supporting mobile applications.
• Perform API testing using:
• Postman
• WireMock
• Verify complex business workflows and data synchronization.
• Validate request/response payloads and data integrity.
• Test backend integrations and service reliability.

CI/CD & DevOps Integration

• Integrate automated test suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Support continuous testing throughout build and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve release quality.

• Monitor automated test execution and analyze test reports.
• Contribute to release readiness and deployment validation.

Debugging & Performance Analysis

• Investigate defects using network debugging and traffic analysis tools.
• Utilize:
• Proxyman
• Charles Proxy
• Analyze API calls, network traffic, authentication flows, and application behavior.
• Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues quickly.

Quality Engineering & Monitoring

• Promote Shift-Left testing practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Define and monitor quality metrics and KPIs.
• Implement continuous monitoring and alerting for application quality.
• Drive improvements in test automation maturity and engineering processes.
• Support defect prevention initiatives and root cause analysis.

Compliance & Security Testing

• Validate secure transaction flows and authentication mechanisms.
• Ensure applications comply with enterprise security standards.
• Perform testing to support:
• Regulatory compliance
• Audit requirements
• Data privacy standards
• Verify secure API communication and sensitive data handling.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Software Testing and Mobile Test Automation.
• Strong experience developing mobile automation frameworks.
• Hands-on expertise with: Espresso (Android), XCUITest (iOS)
• Experience testing: Native mobile applications, Hybrid mobile applications
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture.
• Experience integrating automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with: Postman, WireMock, REST API testing
• Experience with network debugging tools: Charles Proxy, Proxyman
• Knowledge of Shift-Left testing and Quality Engineering principles.
• Experience with defect management and test reporting.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
