The Benefits Manager is responsible for the administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of the organization’s employee benefits programs across multiple jurisdictions. This role supports the delivery of compliant, scalable, and employee-focused benefits operations while ensuring accurate administration, reporting, and vendor coordination.
The role partners closely with People & Culture, Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and external providers to maintain efficient benefits processes, support data integrity, and enhance the employee experience through effective program administration and operational excellence.
This position plays a key role in supporting benefits governance, reporting, compliance activities, and ongoing process improvement initiatives aligned with organizational growth and workforce needs.

Job Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • 10 years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or Total Rewards
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs in Canada and/or the United States
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms such as HiBob, ADP, or similar systems
  • Strong understanding of benefits processes, employee data management, and confidentiality requirements
  • Experience supporting benefits reconciliations, reporting, and vendor coordination
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process consistency
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-country environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills considered an asset
  • Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and support scalable process improvements
  • Experience supporting global or multi-jurisdictional programs is considered an asset

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day benefits operations and responding to employee and manager inquiries related to benefits programs and policies
  • Maintaining accurate employee benefits records and ensure data integrity across HR and payroll systems
  • Coordinating benefits vendor activities and support issue resolution with providers, brokers, and third-party administrators
  • Supporting benefits reconciliation activities with Payroll and Finance teams to ensure accurate deductions and reporting
  • Assisting with compliance reporting and regulatory requirements related to employee benefits programs
  • Supporting annual enrollment activities, employee communications, and program updates
  • Monitoring benefits processes and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency and scalability
  • Supporting HR systems configuration and testing related to benefits administration and integrations
  • Generating and maintaining benefits reporting, metrics, and analytics for internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining process documentation, procedures, and governance standards related to benefits administration
  • Supporting wellness, recognition, and employee experience initiatives as required
  • Participating in broader Total Rewards and People operations projects and continuous improvement initiatives
