Job Description
Role Description The Cyber Security Analyst / Information Security Analyst / Risk Analyst will help safeguard Pulse’s digital platforms, data, and infrastructure by identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks. This full-time remote role involves monitoring security events, analyzing logs, and responding to incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and information. The analyst will perform vulnerability assessments, support secure configuration of applications and networks, and contribute to security policies, standards, and best practices. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting security findings, recommending remediation steps, and staying current with emerging threats and regulatory requirements relevant to digital media and business intelligence platforms.
Qualifications
- Strong cybersecurity foundation with applied experience in Cybersecurity practices and Analytical Skills to assess threats and vulnerabilities.
- Hands-on expertise in Network Security, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure network architecture.
- Knowledge of Application Security, including secure coding principles, web application security, and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Experience with Malware Analysis, threat hunting, and incident response processes.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, endpoint protection solutions, and log analysis techniques.
- Ability to communicate technical risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate in a remote, distributed team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or similar are preferred.
- Experience in digital media, SaaS platforms, or data-driven businesses is an advantage.
