We are currently seeking a full-time Remediation Engineer to help lead our Concord, CA office.
The successful candidates must be willing to work onsite at the Concord, CA office. Relocation assistance will be provided, if needed, to meet this request.
What We Are Looking For
A Remediation Project Engineer, who is driven to lead and manage a wide range of projects ranging from site investigations to regulatory compliance tasks, feasibility studies, remedial design, and/or implementation for both common and emerging (i.e., PFAS) contaminants.

Key Responsibilities Of This Position Will Include
- Technical Responsibilities
- Design and lead pilot studies and field testing for various/emerging contaminants.
- Design small and large-scale remedial systems to address soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination for sites regulated under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets specific to 3D modeling tasks.
- Manage O&M of remedial systems, operational data collection, and troubleshooting.
- Review data compilation, database management, statistical evaluation, and modeling.
- Prepare remediation feasibility studies, remedial action plans, and cost estimates.
- Lead and support environmental inspections at client facilities.
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, clients, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff.
- Manage financial reporting and forecasting, providing accurate and timely updates to senior management.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives based on project outcomes and feedback.
- Marketing and Business Development Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the CA Senior Leadership Team
- Represent EnSafe at local, state, and national professional conferences.
- Lead technical proposal efforts.

- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental engineering or geology
- Between 5 to 12 years of experience
- CA P.E. or P.G.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Experience in the design and implementation of remediation technologies
- Understanding groundwater/lithology characteristics/logging, hydraulics
- Knowledgeable in various 3D models
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Experience with task/project management and proposals
- Valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
- Regional travel up to 20% on an annual basis
