Stanwell’s Engineering Career Acceleration Program is continuing into its second year, for early-career engineers who want more than a desk job. Whether you're a recent graduate or have up to five years of post-grad experience, This is your opportunity to gain on the job experience in Brisbane and travel to our sites at Stanwell and Tarong Power Stations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build a strong understanding of how Stanwell’s operational systems and processes work (not just the data, but how the business actually generates electricity).
  • Document existing system architecture and data infrastructure (“as-built”, topology, technology, knowledge base, etc)
  • Create clear, usable artefacts so systems can be understood and maintained by others.
  • Develop, test and implement data analytics and visualisations to provide asset health and performance insights to support timely business decisions
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver solutions utilising a range of digital toolsets
  • Work across teams (ICT, Operations, Engineering, Trading) to understand how systems connect and support the broader business
  • Support ongoing improvement, maintenance, governance and performance monitoring of data systems and standards
  • Follow reasonable directions and Stanwell processes and systems to ensure the safety, health, wellbeing and psychosocial safety of yourself and others when conducting business activities for Stanwell Corporation.

About You

  • Completing or recently completed a Bachelor Mechatronics (ideal) Data Engineering, Computer Science, or similar (within the last five years).
  • Strong interest in large scale process operations and maintenance management.
  • Interest in how systems support real-world operations (not just data).
  • Ability to understand and logically work through complex systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Willing to relocate to Brisbane — relocation assistance provided
  • Hold full working rights in Australia and a valid driver’s licence
