Job Description
We are looking for an Associate Frontend Developer to join our small team at Pixel Systems. Much of our current work involves supporting a Swiss financial services group that is centralizing its internal operations and data systems. In this role, you will help us build the interfaces that their staff use to manage data, view reports, and handle daily tasks. It is not about building a viral consumer app: it is about making sure a logistics coordinator or a finance manager has a tool that works correctly every single time they open it.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a remote software agency that focuses on practical solutions. We do not do marketing sites or flashy startups. We build the internal tools that keep businesses running: CRMs, admin panels, and database interfaces. Our clients come to us because we provide fixed prices and stick to them. We do weekly demos to show our progress and we prioritize working code over long meetings. We are a fully remote company because we believe that good developers can do their best work from wherever they are most comfortable, without the distractions of a physical office.
The Role
As an Associate Frontend Developer, you will spend your time building and improving the user interfaces for our client projects. For the Swiss financial services centralization project, this means creating dashboards that pull from various legacy sources and display information clearly. You will be translating design mockups into functional React components, connecting those components to our back end APIs, and debugging layout issues. The work is often about organization and clarity. You might spend a day refining a complex data table or a week building out a new series of forms for capturing user data. It is steady, predictable work that requires attention to detail and a focus on how a real user interacts with software to get their job done.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who enjoys organizing information and making complex tasks simpler through good interface design. You do not need a long professional history for this role, but you should have a solid foundation in the following areas:
- A basic understanding of how data flows from a server to a web page.
- The ability to write clean and readable HTML and CSS.
- Experience building basic projects or components using JavaScript.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own time as part of a remote team.
- A preference for building reliable tools over chasing the latest experimental tech trends.
- The ability to communicate technical ideas clearly in writing.
- A patient approach to debugging and solving small layout or logic problems.

While we will provide guidance, it helps if you have some familiarity with the tools we use every day. We do not expect mastery, but exposure to these areas is useful:
- Working with React or similar component based libraries.
- Using GitHub for version control and basic pull requests.
- Interacting with REST APIs to display data on a page.
- A basic understanding of databases like Postgres.
- Experience with TypeScript or a willingness to learn it.
- Familiarity with CSS frameworks or styling libraries.

Working here is different from working at a large tech firm. We have a flat structure with few layers of management. You will work directly with senior developers who can help you grow your skills in a practical, hands-on way. We are a fully remote team, so we rely on clear written communication and steady progress rather than constant meetings. We offer a competitive salary for an entry level position, and this is a paid, full time role. Because we work on fixed-price projects, we prioritize efficiency and getting things right the first time. There is a lot of satisfaction in shipping a tool that a client will use for years to come.
We are a small group of people who enjoy building software that works. We do not have high pressure launch cycles or late night emergencies because we plan our work carefully and use proven technologies. We value stability and reliability in our code and in our team. At Pixel Systems, you will have the chance to contribute to meaningful projects and see your work being used to solve real business challenges every day.
