Job Description
Tech Pipeline resolves operational friction for companies that have outgrown their existing technical setups. We focus on fixing the broken middle of business processes by identifying where data stalls or why manual tasks are still happening in spreadsheets. Currently, our team is supporting a major European fintech group as they streamline their internal routing rules and reconciliation systems.
About the role
The Frontend Development Internship is built for someone who wants to see how software actually works in a production environment. You will be helping us build and maintain the interfaces that internal operations teams use to manage financial data. This is not about building flashy landing pages: it is about creating functional, clear, and reliable tools that provide a source of truth for the people moving the money. Since Tech Pipeline is a fully remote company, you will manage your tasks and code contributions from your own workspace while staying closely connected with the team through documentation and code reviews.
Our focus for this fintech project is on making complex data visible. When an approval chain gets stuck in an email thread, the frontend needs to show exactly where the bottleneck is. You will work on the parts of the system that allow operators to trace a problem, open the logs, and fix a routing error without needing to call a developer every time. The goal of your work is to hand over a system that the client can eventually run on their own.
What you will be doing
- Writing and updating frontend components using modern Javascript frameworks to improve internal dashboards.
- Connecting user interfaces to backend APIs to ensure that data flows correctly between systems.
- Reading system logs and browser consoles to identify why specific UI elements are or are not reflecting the correct data state.
- Assisting in the cleanup of outdated CSS and HTML to make tools more accessible for non technical operators.
- Building a standard set of UI components to ensure consistency across the client reconciliation tools.
- Documenting how specific frontend features work so the client team can maintain them after we leave.
- Participating in remote code reviews to learn best practices for clean and maintainable code.
- Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript, likely from school projects, bootcamps, or personal learning.
- An understanding of how to use Git for version control and basic branching strategies.
- Strong attention to detail: you notice when a layout is slightly off or when a label is technically inaccurate.
- A curious mindset and the willingness to ask questions when a technical requirement is unclear.
- Clear written communication skills: we rely heavily on writing to stay aligned while working remotely.
- The ability to follow a checklist and complete tasks with a focus on accuracy over speed.
- Basic knowledge of how web applications interact with databases and APIs.
