AI/Systems Engineer – Offensive Cybersecurity


Location: Washington, DC (100% Onsite)

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: 2–5+ Years (Exceptional new graduates with strong systems expertise encouraged to apply)

Salary: $160,000–$250,000 annually

Visa Sponsorship: Not Available


Note:

  • Willing to work onsite in Washington, DC, five days per week.
  • Must be eligible to meet U.S. government security clearance requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build AI-powered systems for vulnerability research and exploit development.
  • Develop software involving operating system internals, kernel interfaces, runtime systems, and low-level performance optimization.
  • Own projects from architecture through deployment and production support.
  • Collaborate with security researchers and engineers to automate offensive cyber operations.
  • Build reliable, scalable, and production-ready software.
  • Help establish engineering standards for a rapidly growing cybersecurity platform.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of software or systems engineering experience.
  • Exceptional new graduates with demonstrated low-level systems expertise are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Operating Systems
  • Kernel Development
  • Runtime Systems
  • Dynamic Analysis
  • Dynamic Interception
  • Low-Level Programming
  • Experience writing production-quality software in C/C++, Rust, or similar systems languages.
  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to deliver projects end-to-end.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Willing to work onsite in Washington, DC, five days per week.
  • Must be eligible to meet U.S. government security clearance requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Vulnerability research or exploit development experience.
  • Capture The Flag (CTF) participation.
  • Cybersecurity startup experience.
  • Open-source operating system or systems tooling contributions.
  • Experience with runtime detection, dynamic analysis, or OS-level tooling.
  • Exposure to AI or Machine Learning systems.
