Job Description


OnesourcePCS, LLC is seeking a full-time Engineer located in the National Capital Region (e.g., Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD) and at Defense Centers for Public Health - Aberdeen, MD. to support the development, integration, sustainment, and evaluation of software, databases, data collection platforms, and technical solutions supporting the DoD auditory health mission.

The Engineer will support research, clinical, and public health activities involving hearing health data, audiology-related software tools, interoperability with DoD systems, data processing, technical implementation, and emerging analytic approaches. This role will help translate research concepts into usable tools that support military hearing readiness and clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, integrate, and sustain software applications, databases, data collection platforms, and technical tools supporting auditory health research and clinical programs.
  • Support flexible open-source software platforms, including systems similar to TabSINT, used for data collection, education, and hearing health assessments.
  • Support development of tools capable of interacting with DoD systems such as DOEHRS-HC and MHS GENESIS.
  • Assist with database architecture, data engineering, data processing, and technical workflows.
  • Support development of hearing health assessment tools, occupational exposure data tools, and applications that improve capture of clinical and public health data.
  • Provide technical support for implementation of research and clinical technologies, including boothless audiometry, mobile hearing test applications, hearing protection fit-testing systems, and telehealth solutions.
  • Support cybersecurity, data protection, and secure handling of CUI, PII, and PHI in accordance with DoD requirements.
  • Work with audiologists, researchers, coordinators, technicians, and Government stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, training, and user feedback activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of systems or software engineering experience.
  • Experience developing, integrating, supporting, or sustaining software, databases, or technical platforms.
  • Ability to support data processing, system interoperability, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to complete required Government training, including cybersecurity and HIPAA training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD, DHA, VA, military medicine, public health, or healthcare IT environments.
  • Familiarity with health data systems, medical record systems, data interoperability, or regulated healthcare data.
  • Experience with data engineering, database architecture, automation, analytics, or AI-assisted methods.
  • Experience supporting secure systems that handle CUI, PII, or PHI.
  • Familiarity with audiology, occupational health, or hearing conservation programs.
