Job Description


Write the software that runs modern cloud infrastructure, not the scripts that babysit it.

Key Talent Solutions partners with a profitable, fast-growing Series A company building the cloud platform that lets modern engineering teams deploy any code on any cloud, without the complexity or the lock-in. They are hiring a founding engineer who writes production software across the cloud-infrastructure stack and owns it end to end.

This is a software-engineering seat, not an operations one. You would be building the product that programmatically drives Kubernetes, cloud, and distributed systems, not operating or scripting someone else's infrastructure.


What you'd own

  • Production software across the cloud-infra stack: Kubernetes, multi-cloud, distributed systems, control planes
  • The full lifecycle, architecture to production deploy, on a flat team where engineers own the product, talk to customers, and drive their own work
  • Deep debugging across the whole stack, from your code down through open-source dependencies
  • Two-week project cycles with real autonomy, founder-level ownership inside the company


What we're looking for

  • Roughly 5 to 8 years building in startups, ideally a founding or earliest technical hire (exceptional engineers slightly under that are worth a conversation)
  • A genuine love of infrastructure and developer tooling, the thing that actually gets you up in the morning
  • A track record shipping products end to end that you can point to, in production
  • High agency, comfort with ambiguity, and a move-fast-over-perfect instinct


Compensation: $200K to $270K base plus competitive equity, with room above for an exceptional profile. Relocation to NYC covered.


Not a fit: infrastructure operators, DevOps or SRE who script but do not build software, big-tech-only infra backgrounds with no startup time, and perfectionists who optimize elegance over shipping.
