About the Role

Seeking a Junior Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to join a global Infrastructure Engineering team. This role is suited for an early-career engineer with a strong foundation in Microsoft technologies who is eager to expand into cloud, virtualization, automation, and enterprise infrastructure engineering.

The position provides hands-on exposure across Windows Server, Azure, VMware, Intune, monitoring platforms, and infrastructure automation within a high-performance engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Operations & Support

• Act as an escalation point for the Service Desk and serve as a bridge between support and engineering teams.
• Administer and support Windows Server environments (2016–2025), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Sites & Services, and trust relationships.
• Manage Azure AD (Entra ID), including MFA, enterprise applications, and Conditional Access policies.
• Support day-to-day Azure infrastructure operations, including compute and core services.
• Administer Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, including device enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and reporting.
• Manage endpoint configuration via Intune, including security baselines, update rings, and device policy enforcement.
• Deploy and maintain applications through Intune using modern application packaging and lifecycle management practices.
• Support VDI and end-user computing platforms, including VMware Horizon, Windows 365, and thin client environments (e.g., Dell ThinOS).
• Assist with Azure infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using Terraform.
• Perform infrastructure health monitoring using Azure Monitor and SolarWinds.
• Support vulnerability remediation, patching cycles, and general risk reduction initiatives.

Virtualization & End-User Platforms

• Support VMware ESXi environments (6.5+) for server and VDI workloads.
• Assist with Windows 365 Cloud PC deployments and thin client technologies.
• Participate in troubleshooting and optimization of virtual desktop environments.

Automation & Tooling

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and operational tasks.
• Support automated software deployment via Intune and related configuration tooling.
• Assist in building and maintaining automation workflows using ActiveBatch and Terraform.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices and developer tooling adoption.

Operational Engineering

• Manage certificate lifecycle activities, including SSL renewals, bindings, and inventory tracking.
• Participate in change management windows, maintenance events, and post-deployment validation.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in infrastructure support, systems administration, or IT operations.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID fundamentals.
• Exposure to VMware, virtual desktop infrastructure, or Windows 365 environments.
• Basic PowerShell scripting ability.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Azure Monitor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to financial services or other high-availability enterprise environments.
