Job Description

Company Description

At RxDiet, we harness cutting-edge technology to transform healthcare through the power of food as medicine. Our innovative platform leverages proprietary artificial intelligence and integrates with national grocery retailers to deliver medically-tailored groceries to patients. By simplifying access to nutrition-based solutions, we empower individuals to take control of their health and meet them where they are in their healthcare journey.

Role Description

We are looking for an HR Generalist to be the engine behind our day-to-day People operations. This is a hands-on, do-it-all role for someone who loves getting things done and getting the details right. You will help bring great people in the door, run the day-to-day of people operations, keep our benefits and leave programs humming, and help shape a culture people want to be part of.

You will report to and work closely with our Chief of Staff. If you like taking a clear process and running it flawlessly, and you take pride in getting the small things exactly right, you will fit in well here.

What you will do

Recruiting and Talent

  • Source candidates across channels and help build healthy pipelines for open roles
  • Screen applicants and run early conversations to surface the strongest fits
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews across candidates and hiring managers, keeping the process moving and the candidate experience polished
  • Keep our applicant tracking system current and communicate with candidates promptly at every stage

People Operations

  • Own onboarding and offboarding end to end, so every new hire has a great first week and every departure is handled cleanly
  • Maintain accurate employee records and keep our HRIS current as our single source of truth
  • Be the first point of contact for everyday employee questions on policies, benefits, and time off
  • Support payroll inputs and ensure changes are captured accurately and on time
  • Help maintain and improve the employee handbook and internal policy documentation

Benefits and Leave

  • Manage company perks and stipends end to end, including enrollment, renewals, and eligibility
  • Run leave of absence programs from start to finish, including intake, documentation, communication with employees, and coordination with payroll
  • Serve as a knowledgeable, calm resource for employees navigating leave during important life moments

Culture and Engagement

  • Plan and run recurring team programming, events, and recognition that strengthen connection across the team
  • Support company offsites and in-person gatherings from logistics to follow-through
  • Gather employee feedback and help turn it into action

Compliance Support

  • Partner with our PEO to keep everyday HR practices aligned with federal, state, and local requirements
  • Apply a working understanding of FMLA and paid family leave, including New York Paid Family Leave, so employees feel supported through leave
  • Keep employee records and documentation accurate and well organized

What we are looking for

  • Around 3 years in an HR generalist, people operations, or HR coordinator role, ideally including time at a startup or another fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting recruiting, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews
  • Familiarity with FMLA and paid family leave such as New York Paid Family Leave, and comfort supporting employees through leave with empathy and care
  • A genuine interest in culture building, from team events to recognition to the small touches that make a team feel like a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail. You catch the small errors before they become problems, and your documents and records are clean
  • Strong written communication and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Comfort working independently, staying organized across competing priorities, and following through reliably

Nice to have

  • Experience working alongside a PEO such as Justworks and Rippling
  • Experience on a lean, fast-moving People or operations team where you wore many hats

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and equity options.
  • 100% company covered medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401K
  • Flexible PTO and fully remote work environment.
  • Home Office Stipend
  • 12 Weeks of medically tailored grocery for the whole family
  • The opportunity to make a tangible impact at a mission-driven company at the forefront of the "food as medicine" movement.
