AI Scenario Tester

We are adding an AI Scenario Tester to our team to help us ensure the software we build for our clients is reliable and predictable. This is a part-time, fully remote position designed for someone who enjoys logical puzzles and has a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for testing the AI-driven features we integrate into business systems, finding the edge cases that human developers might miss, and documenting how the software responds to various inputs.

The role
In this role, your main task is to act as a rigorous tester for AI features within our custom software applications. For example, if we build a tool that automatically categorizes maintenance requests for a warehouse, you will feed it hundreds of different scenarios to see where it succeeds and where it fails. You will keep careful logs of what you tried and what the results were. This is not about being a developer or writing code: it is about putting yourself in the shoes of a user and spotting inconsistencies or errors in how the AI processes information.
This is a remote position that offers a high level of flexibility. You will work on a contract basis for a set number of hours each week, allowing you to manage your own schedule within the project timeline. This role is paid and the rate is competitive for entry level testing work in the software industry.

What we are looking for
We need someone who is naturally curious and methodical. You do not need a computer science degree or years of professional experience, but you do need to be someone who notices patterns and cares about accuracy. You should be comfortable sitting with a spreadsheet of data and testing it against a software interface for several hours at a time. Clear writing is essential for this position because you will need to explain your findings to our developers in a way that helps them fix the problem quickly.
You should be the kind of person who asks "what happens if I do this?" and then meticulously records the answer. Resilience is also important, as much of your day will involve finding things that are broken and repeating tests until they work correctly.
