Job Title: Digital Marketing Program Manager – AI Search (GEO/AEO)

Location: Fully Remote

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Hours: Initially 30 hours/week, with potential to increase to 40 hours/week

Job Summary

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Program Manager – AI Search to support the execution of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) initiatives. This role will focus on improving brand visibility across AI-powered search and answer platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and other emerging AI experiences.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in SEO, AEO, content strategy, and digital marketing, along with a solid understanding of how AI search ecosystems evaluate, surface, and cite digital content. This individual will work cross-functionally with marketing, communications, product marketing, and brand teams to optimize AI discoverability and drive measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze AI search performance, citations, and content gaps, providing actionable optimization recommendations.
  • Execute Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) initiatives to improve AI search visibility.
  • Partner with content, growth, communications, product marketing, and brand teams to develop AI-friendly content strategies.
  • Optimize digital content for AI-powered search engines and traditional search platforms using SEO best practices.
  • Monitor AI search trends, algorithm updates, and emerging best practices, recommending ongoing optimization strategies.
  • Evaluate brand visibility and competitive performance across AI search platforms to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Measure AI search visibility metrics and prepare reports with insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Support project execution by tracking initiatives, prioritizing workstreams, and ensuring timely delivery of optimization efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and AI search ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and optimizing content for AI-powered search and answer engines.
  • Experience using SEO and analytics platforms such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Profound or a similar AI search intelligence platform.
  • Experience measuring AI search visibility, citation quality, and competitive AI search performance.
  • Familiarity with emerging AI search technologies and evolving optimization strategies.
