Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager - US Payments based in Canada.

This is a high-impact opportunity to join a fast-growing US Product team focused on transforming account-to-account (A2A) payments across the American market. You will take ownership of critical payment products spanning the full lifecycle, from discovery and strategy to delivery, launch, and commercial success. The role is centered on building and scaling modern payment rails, including Wire and ACH, while enhancing existing capabilities such as RTP and FedNow. You will operate at the intersection of product, engineering, and commercial teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with market needs. This position offers strong exposure to banks and financial institutions, where you will translate real customer challenges into innovative product capabilities. It is a highly collaborative environment where strategic thinking and execution excellence directly shape market adoption and business growth.

Accountabilities

  • Own and drive the product strategy and roadmap for US A2A payment products, ensuring clear alignment with customer needs and commercial objectives, while delivering measurable impact across adoption, performance, and revenue.
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and design through delivery, launch, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of payment capabilities such as Wire, ACH, RTP, and FedNow.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Business Analysis teams to define scalable, high-quality solutions that meet technical, regulatory, and customer requirements in a complex payments environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions to identify pain points, gather insights, and translate them into actionable product improvements.
  • Support go-to-market execution, including customer engagements, pricing discussions, positioning, and sales enablement to drive commercial success and market penetration.
  • Ensure products remain compliant with evolving US payment schemes and regulatory standards while maintaining competitiveness and differentiation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, ideally within payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure environments.
  • Deep knowledge of the US account-to-account payments ecosystem, including Wire and ACH, with additional exposure to RTP and FedNow strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience building and launching products for banks or financial institutions, either from within a financial institution or a technology provider serving this sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead products end-to-end, from concept and discovery through to launch and live operations at scale.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience contributing to pricing strategy, go-to-market planning, and customer-facing engagements.
  • Solid understanding of the competitive landscape in payment infrastructure and related financial technologies.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with Engineering teams, translating complex customer needs into scalable product solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and commercial audiences.
  • Desirable: experience with API-first and cloud-native products, and/or experience in high-growth startup or scaleup environments.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and market benchmarks.
  • Fully remote working model with flexibility across eligible locations.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge US payment systems shaping the future of account-to-account transactions.
  • Exposure to leading financial institutions and strategic payment initiatives.
  • Flexible working culture supporting work-life balance and autonomy.
  • Occasional travel opportunities for team and customer collaboration, primarily to New York, with potential travel to the UK.
  • Inclusive and diverse work environment with strong support for accessibility and reasonable adjustments.
