The Role
We're looking for a part-time SEO Specialist to improve the search performance of our own site and help more of the right people find our business online. This is a part-time, ongoing role — a great fit for an experienced SEO who wants steady work on a single site without a full-time commitment. Fully remote — work from anywhere.
What you'll do:
- Own the SEO strategy and execution for our website (built on WordPress)
- Improve our local and regional search visibility across New Jersey and beyond
- Optimize and maintain our Google Business Profile
- Research the keywords our potential customers are actually searching, and map them to our pages and services
- Handle on-page optimization (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, schema)
- Run technical SEO audits and fix or flag issues (site speed, mobile, crawlability)
- Optimize existing pages and recommend new content to target valuable search terms
- Track rankings, traffic, and leads, and report on what's working month to month

What we're looking for:
- Proven SEO experience with real, demonstrable results (please share examples or case studies)
- Strong grasp of local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
- Comfort working in WordPress
- Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and an SEO tool (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar)
- Solid understanding of on-page and technical SEO
- Self-directed and reliable — able to make steady progress with minimal oversight
- Clear communicator who can explain results in plain terms
