ABOUT CURALABEL
Curalabel is seeking a talented Computer Vision Engineer (AI) to join our team on a one-year full-time contract. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art computer vision and deep learning solutions that solve real-world problems. You will work with large image and video datasets, build production-ready AI models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent vision-based applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and optimize computer vision and deep learning models.
• Build AI solutions for image classification, object detection, segmentation, OCR, tracking, and visual recognition.
• Train, evaluate, and fine-tune deep learning models using large datasets.
• Develop data preprocessing, augmentation, and annotation pipelines.
• Deploy machine learning models into production environments.
• Optimize models for speed, accuracy, and scalability.
• Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to integrate AI models into applications.
• Conduct research and evaluate new computer vision techniques and architectures.
• Debug, test, and improve existing AI systems.
• Document model architecture, experiments, and technical implementations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar deep learning frameworks.
• Solid understanding of computer vision fundamentals.
• Experience with OpenCV.
• Knowledge of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), Vision Transformers (ViTs), and modern deep learning architectures.
• Experience training and evaluating machine learning models.
• Understanding of image processing techniques.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with YOLO, Detectron2, MMDetection, or similar computer vision frameworks.
• Experience working with OCR technologies and document AI.
