Senior Automation Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Budget: 1.0 LPM 

Experience: 7+years

Should Have:

* Next.js / TypeScript Testing - Should have hands-on experience testing Next.js applications, 

including component behaviour, routing, and API interactions. TypeScript proficiency 

preferred.

* GitHub Actions & CI/CD - Hands-on experience configuring GitHub Actions workflows, 

including webhooks to trigger test runs and gates to block a software build on failure. Must be 

able to own the pipeline setup end-to-end.

* AWS Familiarity - Some awareness of AWS is helpful given our deployment environment, but 

no specific services are required.

The Automation Engineer will not be responsible for infrastructure.

Must Have:

* Greenfield Framework Setup - Experience designing and building a test framework from 

scratch in a codebase with zero prior coverage. Must arrive with a clear mental model of how 

to move from no testing to a trusted quality gate.

* Test Strategy & Design - Able to identify the right tests to automate and at the right level i.e. 

unit, integration, functional, end-to-end. Works collaboratively with BAs and developers to 

ensure test coverage is meaningful and maintainable.

* JavaScript / TypeScript - Strong JavaScript fundamentals required. Familiarity with testing tools 

in the JS/TS ecosystem (e.g. Playwright, Vitest, Cypress) and the ability to recommend the right 

tool for context.
