Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site position for Junior and Senior Manual Software QA Engineers based in Singapore.
• As a Manual Software QA Engineer at QA Hacks, you will collaborate with international clients and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and test planning to execution, defect management, release validation, and post-release quality support.
• You will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and executing manual test cases for web and mobile applications, performing functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing, and documenting defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence. You will work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and fellow QA Engineers to identify risks early and continuously improve product quality.
• Junior QA Engineers will focus on learning product domains, executing test cases, reporting high-quality defects, and building a strong foundation in software testing while receiving mentorship from experienced QA professionals.
• Senior QA Engineers will take ownership of testing activities for complex features and projects, lead test planning, improve QA processes, mentor junior team members, participate in requirement reviews, identify quality risks, and contribute to release readiness and overall quality strategy.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Software Testing fundamentals, Quality Assurance principles, SDLC, STLC, and the software defect lifecycle.

• Hands-on experience performing Manual Testing for web and/or mobile applications.

• Experience creating, maintaining, and executing well-structured test cases and test scenarios.

• Experience with Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, and Exploratory Testing.

• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within Agile/Scrum development teams.

• Experience using bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar platforms.

• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman or similar platforms.

• Basic understanding of SQL for data validation.

• Experience testing responsive web applications and mobile applications.

• Familiarity with browser developer tools.

• Experience working with international clients or distributed engineering teams.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manual QA Engineers

• Several years of hands-on Manual Software QA experience.

• Proven experience leading testing activities for medium to large-scale software projects.

• Ability to design comprehensive test strategies and identify testing risks.

• Experience mentoring and coaching junior QA Engineers.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.

• Experience participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, defect triage, and release planning.

• Ability to improve QA processes, documentation standards, and testing efficiency.

• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
