As a Technical Business Development Representative, you will own sales processes from first touch to close, build automations and infrastructure, and report directly to the CEO. Job Description
Research shows that men apply for jobs when they meet about 60% of the requirements, while women tend to apply only when they meet all of them. If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't line up perfectly with every point above, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be exactly who we're looking for.
A note on the technical side of this role: This is a technical position, and we want to be upfront about that so you can judge the fit for yourself. The strongest signal is that you've already built things with AI and automation tools, e.g. set up a workflow with webhooks, written a script to solve a problem, or connected APIs to get something done. If you've done things like this, even self-taught, even imperfectly, and even outside a sales context, you're likely who we're looking for. If your experience with AI so far is mostly chat-based, this role probably isn't the right starting point yet.

About Coolset
Coolset is the ESG & supply chain platform for compliance-first teams. We help companies like Karl Lagerfeld and Australian Gold measure, manage and improve their sustainability disclosures, simplifying complex regulations to enable real impact.
Founded in 2022 and backed by a remarkable group of early-stage investors, we're a fast-growing team of 20 engineers, researchers and commercial talent based in Amsterdam.
What you will do
As a technical Business Development Representative (what we call a GTM Engineer), your role is 50% running sales and 50% building the systems behind it. You'll own sales processes from first touch to close, and you'll build the automations and infrastructure that power our go-to-market engine. You'll report directly to our CEO and sit at the intersection of selling and commercial infrastructure, where running real deals informs the systems you build, and the systems you build make the whole team more effective.
When you find yourself doing the same thing twice, you'll treat it as useful information: question the assumption, build a system, and free yourself up for work that uses your creativity. We believe action creates information, so you'll ship, learn from what happens, and iterate, with the team around you to support that.
You will cover:
- 50% Sales execution: From identifying prospects to closing. You will own the full cycle from first touch to go-live, helping our future customers navigate their priorities, aligning them with Coolset's solutions, and landing on a commercial proposition that makes them successful.

- 20% Go-to-market automation, systems & infrastructure: Design and maintain the automations that connect our commercial stack end-to-end. Build workflows in n8n, connect APIs, set up webhooks, and remove manual work wherever it doesn't add value. Own and evolve our core tooling and keep data clean, integrations healthy, and reporting reliable.
- 20% Technical GTM engineering: Use tools like Claude Code to build internal tools, scripts, and prototypes that accelerate our sales and marketing efforts. You'll grow your range here over time; what matters is that you enjoy building and are comfortable figuring things out as you go.
- 10% Experimentation: Run experiments across channels, messaging, and tactics. Try things, measure what matters, and double down on what works. Judgment matters here too; not everything that can be measured should be, and not everything worth doing shows up in a dashboard immediately.
Tools we use
- Claude Code for building internal tools and accelerating work
- HubSpot for CRM & email marketing
- Apollo for company and contact data
- Webflow for our website and landing pages
- n8n for workflow automations
