Test Automation Engineer

Belfast – Fully Remote

Up to £40,000

A leading technology company is seeking a dedicated Test Automation Engineer to join their high-performance data analytics pipeline team in Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role is critical for ensuring the quality and integrity of our backend system, working within a geographically distributed team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for quality and extensive test coverage, focusing on privacy, security, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with the project team to determine test requirements and provide leadership in agile scrum and planning processes.
• Conduct exploratory testing for individual components or features, identifying and reporting defects.
• Build, deploy, and maintain a test infrastructure to verify the data analytics pipeline in AWS.
• Develop reusable test code and libraries for future use.
• Design, execute, and report on benchmarks related to stress, performance, scalability, and other non-functional tests.
• Work with other test teams and leaders to innovate and improve team performance.

The required skills for the Test Automation Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing
• Python scripting is essential
• Familiarity with terminal scripting and working directly in CLI.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, SQS. AWS CLI is a plus.
• Proficiency with CI/CD workflow tools like TeamCity and Jenkins.
• Experience in maintaining automated tests using scripting languages such as Robot Framework and Python.
• Experience with databases, including SQL and AWS Athena.

The Test Automation Engineer Package:

• Up to £40,000 base
• Company pension
