Cloud Architect

Location: Qatar - Onsite

Contract Duration: Initial 6 months, extendable

• Open to candidates based outside Qatar. Visa and medical insurance will be provided; however, relocation costs are not covered.

Experience Required: Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure, or Digital Transformation, with at least 5 years in a senior architecture role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise cloud architecture strategies aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Define cloud architecture standards, best practices, governance frameworks, and operating models.
• Design secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives for enterprise applications and workloads.
• Develop cloud landing zones, network architectures, identity and access management models, and security controls.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and data teams to ensure integration and alignment across technology domains.
• Provide technical leadership and architecture guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, tools, and services to support organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance requirements.
• Support capacity planning, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Engage with senior stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to drive successful delivery of cloud initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in Azure, AWS, GCP, or multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud networking, security, identity management, and governance frameworks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, disaster recovery, high availability, and performance optimization.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
