Job Description

Job Title: Network Security Engineer with Checkpoint and Fortinet.

Location: Jersey City, NJ 3 Days Hybrid Experience: 10 years (Not less than 10 years)

Duration: 12 Months Relocation: from EST only Visa: H1B, GC, GCEAD, H4EAD, USC

Mandates

• Firewall Management: Expertise in implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting multi-vendor platforms, specifically Checkpoint (including Multi-Domain Server) and Fortinet.
• Load Balancing: Thorough understanding of installation, configuration, and optimization of F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM).
• Proxy Services: Design and support of HTTP/HTTPS and SOCKS Proxies, specifically Bluecoat SG series and McAfee appliances.

• Network Services: Expert knowledge of DNS/DHCP via Infoblox.
• Core Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and security technologies (Clustering, Transparent mode, SSL/VPN).
• Command Line Proficiency: Ability to use CLI commands (Bash, Shell, IOS).
• Maintenance & Support: Ability to provide 4th level support and perform routine maintenance, including OS upgrades and hardware fixes.
  
  

Network Scurity Engineer

The iNET Engineer will have responsibility for the oversight, support and management of Firewall, Proxy, DNS and Load Balancer infrastructure in support of production environment. The engineer must possess technical knowledge of these technologies and operating systems and be able to manage their project responsibilities, and communicate updates effectively. Some regional travel and the ability to provide 7x24 support is also required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

Monitoring and checks of all Firewalls, Proxies and related equipment as needed

Maintain and organize reporting information and documentation on BNP current technology for Management review

Produce and maintain high to detailed levels of documentation as required for all Checkpoint, Fortinet, F5, Infoblox, McAfee and Bluecoat environments

Daily support and deployment of Firewall, proxy, DNs and LoadBalancers related systems for the Americas region

Perform routine maintenance functions for all systems including OS upgrades, hardware fixes, etc

Work closely with Information Security team to implement, verify, and review Security policies

Adhere to the controls, policies and procedures put forth by ITP. This is done in context to Proactively Manage IT risks, Develop predictability within core missions, reduce impact to the production environment and improve stability and visibility through documentation.

Thorough understanding of installation, configuration et optimization of Big-IP (F5) LTM/GTM load balancing , CheckPoint, Fortinet, McAfee or Blue Coat (HTTP/Socks) et DNS/DHCP Infoblox.

Thorough understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and network security technologies such as Clustering, Transparent mode, SSl/VPN, CLI commands (Bash, shell, IOS ).

Thorough understanding of CheckPoint Multi-Domain Server and Fortinet Management tools.

Experience with HP Network Automation and Solarwinds is an advantage

Provide up to 4th level support for all Firewall, proxy, DNs and LoadBalancers systems in the Americas region

Work with system support team members in troubleshooting complex, cross platform issues

Design, maintain and troubleshoot Firewall, Proxy, DNS and Load Balancer environment as per Corporate and security standards

Implement and support multivendor Firewall platforms featuring Checkpoint and Fortigate Firewalls.

Design, support and maintain HTTP/HTTPs and SOCKS Proxies environment featuring Bluecoat SG series and McAfee appliances
