Junior React Developer (Remote) – Financial Services Advisory Tools

JHC Consulting is currently advising a Moroccan financial services provider on critical questions of strategy and governance. As our work with this partner expands, we require a Junior React Developer to assist in building the digital interfaces and tools that support our advisory mandates. This is a full time, permanent position that is conducted entirely through remote work. We are a firm of analysts and advisors who believe that clear writing is the foundation of clear thinking, and we extend this principle to the code we write and the tools we deploy.

The Role
In this role, you will focus on developing and maintaining front end components for internal and client facing applications. Your work will involve translating logical requirements into functional user interfaces that prioritize clarity and utility. Because our firm avoids traditional presentations, the digital tools you build are often the primary way our partners interact with our data and analysis. You will be expected to:

• Write clean, functional code using the React library to build responsive interfaces.
• Collaborate with our principals to understand the specific needs of the Moroccan financial services provider.
• Document your technical decisions in writing, ensuring that every architectural choice is justified.
• Debug and refine existing components to ensure they meet our standards for reliability.
• Participate in internal reviews where we subject our code and our arguments to rigorous scrutiny.
• Manage your own development environment and tasks within a remote framework.

What You Bring
We are looking for an individual at the start of their career who possesses a strong technical foundation and the intellectual maturity to work independently. While this is an entry level role, we require a high standard of precision and a commitment to the discipline of the written word. You should have:

• A fundamental understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Basic experience with React, including an understanding of components and hooks.
• The ability to write clear, professional documentation for your code.
• A logical approach to problem solving and the patience to trace errors back to their source.
