Senior Machine Learning Engineer & CTO Track (ML Systems & Reinforcement Learning)

General Creative is a marketplace platform where brands and professional AI video creators run fast iterative loops on content. Creators compete in structured challenges, brands test what performs, and every contest throws off rankings, preference data, and engagement signal. The whole platform is one large optimization loop over creative output, and the ML side of it is still unbuilt.

The right person for this role will have a leader mentality / experience, be hands-on with building, and a quick learner open to solving unique challenges and fluctuating goals.

Role Description

Member of Technical Staff. Full-time, in person, San Francisco Bay Area. You own the ML and systems side end to end: post-training and RL on live marketplace data, reward modeling on contest preference data, win prediction on rankings, plus the backend and pipelines that feed it. This is applied work that ships weekly, not just multi-year research.

We are looking for someone to lead our engineering team, with high equity + cash upside, and are open to promoting to CTO for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Currently or recently at a frontier lab or an equivalent top AI team.

• Has shipped. Production code in Python, TypeScript, or Go, comfortable owning infra and data pipelines.
• In person in SF, full time. If not in SF, willing to relocate.

Compensation

$500,000 – $1,000,000 base salary, plus significant double-digit equity.
