About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join our core team at micro1. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and optimizing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, orchestrating containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker, and ensuring the overall reliability and security of our cloud environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely within the US, collaborating with distributed teams to deliver high-impact solutions that support our AI research and development initiatives. Your strong communication skills will facilitate effective cross-team collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring our infrastructure remains robust, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles, with a proven track record working within Azure cloud environments. Deep expertise in Azure DevOps tools and services is essential, along with advanced proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and management. Candidates should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for clear, collaborative work. A solid understanding of designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, system monitoring, and troubleshooting is required. Strong problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement are crucial. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with other cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS, experience supporting large-scale distributed systems, and relevant Azure or Kubernetes certifications.

Responsibilities

As an Azure DevOps Engineer at micro1, your core responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure to support our AI data platform. You will develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps tools to ensure reliable and efficient application deployment. Managing containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker will be a key aspect of your role, requiring orchestration, deployment, and monitoring. You will proactively monitor system performance, automate operational tasks, and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will streamline deployment processes and improve operational workflows. Ensuring system security, compliance, and implementing robust backup and recovery strategies are vital to safeguarding our infrastructure. Additionally, you will document processes, share insights, and communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
