Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Network Administrator (Intermediate-Level) to join our team in Clarksburg, WV.

  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Secret Clearance
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Network Administrator will provide IT support at the Clarksburg Local Network Enterprise Center (LNEC) in support of the Biometric Operations Department (BOD). This role ensures uninterrupted operations across Army Information Technology Portfolio (AITP) systems, including NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Mission System Environments.

The Network Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing the network infrastructure. This role demands a strong understanding of enterprise network architecture, including Layer 2/3 switching, routing protocols, and network security standards. The administrator will ensure reliable and secure network operations by proactively monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing systems to support mission-critical activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure mission continuity.
  • Troubleshoot complex network, routing, switching, and connectivity issues across multiple environments and technologies.
  • Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, Layer 2/3 switches, wireless systems, firewalls, encryption devices, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Define, implement, and enforce network policies, operational procedures, and performance standards to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient network operations.
  • Configure and maintain network access control and wireless networking solutions, including 802.1X authentication and 802.11 LAN/MAN environments.
  • Develop and deliver user and administrator training on network operations, cybersecurity best practices, and approved operational procedures.
  • Configure and support enterprise routing and network services, including OSPF, BGP, IPv4/IPv6, VPNs, IPSec tunnels, and network authentication technologies.
  • Implement and maintain network security controls, ensuring compliance with DoD, Army, and organizational cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support modernization efforts by evaluating, implementing, and optimizing new networking technologies and infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, operational procedures, configuration standards, and technical diagrams.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and mission teams to support infrastructure upgrades, problem resolution, and continuous operational improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to users and stakeholders while promoting network best practices and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Secret Clearance.
  • Five (5+) years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise network environments.
  • IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, or equivalent) per DoD 8570/8140.
  • Experience implementing and managing enterprise network policies, operational procedures, and performance standards, with hands-on expertise in network access control, 802.1X authentication, and 802.11 wireless LAN/MAN technologies in secure enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting routing protocols and services, including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, multicast, and VoIP technologies.
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking technologies, routing and switching, and enterprise network architectures.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and connectivity issues in mission-critical environments.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent industry certification.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Federal, or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
  • Experience with network security technologies, infrastructure modernization initiatives, and enterprise-scale networking solutions.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and configuration standards
