Position Overview
This role is a new addition to the team as part of an ongoing team transition. The Senior GeoSCADA Software Developer will provide technical leadership by performing code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, and mentoring a team of 3 to 5 junior to mid level developers. Experience with solution design and software architecture in project based environments is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with GeoSCADA, including Asset Framework design and development, along with strong expertise in PI and InTouch technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SCADA systems for industrial automation processes.
- Design, implement, and support SCADA solutions that monitor and control industrial operations.
- Develop SCADA applications using software suites including:
- GeoSCADA
- InTouch
- AVEVA System Platform
- AVEVA/Wonderware Historian
- OSI PI
- Configure and program SCADA software for manufacturing, energy, mining, utilities, and other industrial environments.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to understand business and system requirements.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot SCADA software and related components including PLC integrations.
- Integrate SCADA systems with operational historians including:
- OSI PI
- Wonderware Historian
- AVEVA Historian
- Develop custom scripts using JavaScript, Python, VBScript, or similar scripting languages.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, upgrades, and enhancements while minimizing operational downtime.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to end users.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Participate in continuous learning to stay current with evolving Schneider Electric and AVEVA technologies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience with GeoSCADA development.
- Experience with Asset Framework design and development.
- Strong experience with:
- GeoSCADA

- Strong knowledge of SCADA systems and integration with multiple data sources.
- Experience with AVEVA (formerly Wonderware) products including:
- System Platform
- Operations Control
- InTouch
- Predictive Analytics
- Knowledge of computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware.
- Experience with programming languages including:
- JavaScript
- Visual Basic
- C#
- Experience working with operational data historians including:
- AVEVA Historian
- Wonderware Historian
- OSI PI
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting communication protocols including:
- Modbus
- OPC UA
- OPC DA
- DNP3
- TCP/IP
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
