Our client is seeking an experienced OT Systems Deployment Engineer to deploy, configure, and support the infrastructure that powers industrial control environments. This role is responsible for implementing Linux-based edge computing platforms, virtualization environments, industrial networking equipment, and operational databases while ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and production-ready. The engineer will automate deployments using configuration management tools, commission hardware at operational sites, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve system reliability and deployment efficiency. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of Linux systems, automation, networking, and Operational Technology within mission-critical industrial environments.

• 7+ years of Systems Engineering, IT/OT Integration, or similar infrastructure deployment experience

• Advanced Linux system administration (Enterprise Linux/Ubuntu)

• Experience with deployment automation using Ansible

• Scripting experience with Bash and/or Python (Ruby is also applicable)

• Experience deploying and supporting VMware or Proxmox virtual environments

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MariaDB

• Understanding of industrial networking, VLANs, firewalls, and OT cybersecurity

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3, OPC UA, and MQTT

• Experience with Git and Agile development environments using JIRA

• Strong troubleshooting and systems integration skills

• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

• Experience in renewable energy, utilities, manufacturing, or other industrial environments

• Experience with Docker or containerized application deployments

• Familiarity with operational historians or industrial databases

• Strong safety-first mindset and understanding of mission-critical environments

• Passion for automation and continuous process improvement

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
