Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a global engineering team building and scaling modern SaaS products that process millions of transactions every hour. This is primarily a backend-focused role working with Python and Django, with opportunities to contribute to frontend development using modern AI-assisted development tools where appropriate. You'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable systems while collaborating with an international engineering team.

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications and services. 

• Develop secure, reliable, and high-performing software solutions. 

• Lead the end-to-end development of complex features. 

• Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions. 

• Review code and promote engineering best practices. 

• Build reusable components and continuously improve existing systems. 

• Integrate with third-party APIs and enterprise platforms. 

• Deploy and maintain applications using Docker and Kubernetes. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. 

Required Skills & Experience 

• 5–7+ years of backend software engineering experience. 

• Strong experience with Python and Django. 

• 3+ years of software development experience working on production 

systems. 

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred). 

• Experience designing scalable distributed systems and microservices. 

• Solid understanding of API versioning and dependency management. 

• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Fargate, RDS, ELB, and Beanstalk. 

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 

• Experience with Python testing frameworks and automated testing. 

• Ability to independently lead large features from design through deployment. 

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 

Nice to Have:

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar. 

• Experience working in SaaS or high-growth technology companies. 

• React.js experience. 

• Test-Driven Development (TDD). 

• Production monitoring and operational excellence. 

• Multi-tenant SaaS architecture. 

• E-commerce domain experience. 

• Exposure to Machine Learning or Large Language Models (LLMs).
