Role Description

As a Flutter Developer Intern (Unpaid) at Small Fare®, you will support the design and development of mobile applications for our portfolio brands using Flutter and Dart. On a day-to-day basis, you will assist in building UI components, integrating APIs, fixing bugs, and testing app features to ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience. You will collaborate with senior developers, product teams, and designers to translate business requirements into clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and documentation. This internship role is remote, allowing you to contribute from any location while learning modern app development practices. The position is an internship opportunity intended to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world product development in a fast-moving digital environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess foundational skills in Flutter and Dart for cross-platform mobile app development.

• Candidates should possess skills in version control and collaboration tools, such as Git, GitHub or GitLab, and familiarity with agile or iterative workflows.
• Candidates should possess strong problem-solving, debugging, and testing skills, with attention to performance and reliability.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team.
• Beneficial qualifications include experience with Firebase or other back-end services, knowledge of mobile app deployment processes, and prior project or portfolio demonstrating Flutter work.
• A current enrollment in or completion of a degree or course in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
