Job Description
Europe's First Full-stack AI Financial Services Company
We merge best-in-class financial technology: banking, payments, invoicing, accounting, payroll and tax, with embedded expert advisory services.
We are the force-multiplier. Our system continuously learns from our customers, so every workflow becomes faster, more accurate, and more automated over time, saving our customers 100+ hours a year of admin.
Our team is made up of:
- Ambitious, unapologetically curious, slightly crazy ex-founders
- Veteran fintech operators
- AI engineers, creatives, and corporate finance experts from the Big 4
If you thrive in a high-commitment, high-reward culture and want the autonomy to deliver your best work, this will be the most exciting team you ever join.
Neno is backed by AlleyCorp, Firstminute Capital, Motive Partners, and angels from Miro, Coinbase, Mollie, Juni, Deel, Navro, Copper, Wise & PayPal.
The Role
We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to own the product surface where our customers and our AI meet.
Neno's accounting, tax, and reconciliation automation only works because a customer or accountant can sit in front of the output, understand what the system extracted, trust the parts that are confident, and correct the parts that aren't. You will build that surface:
- Review queues and confidence cues
- Match-confirmation and approval flows
- Bill and invoice builders
- Supplier and GL/VAT pickers
- The interfaces that turn a non-deterministic AI pipeline into something a customer will actually trust
Searching for Development & Programming roles that provide visa sponsorship? Connect with international employers through Development & Programming Jobs with Visa Sponsorship opportunities actively seeking talented professionals.
You're a product-minded frontend engineer who is genuinely excited about building in an AI-native company, not just building UI on top of one. You use AI tools daily in your own workflow, and you think in states, data models, and edge cases, not just components and screens.
What This Role Is Not
- Not a role for a pixel-pusher who waits for a finished Figma file and ships it as-is
- Not a role where you throw UI over the wall and let someone else own the outcome
- Not a traditional frontend job where the hardest problem is layout
"Looks right" is below the bar. Our interfaces must be accurate, explainable, and fast. We want people who take extreme pride in the polish and reliability of what they ship, and who genuinely enjoy solving hard UX problems around trust, confidence, and human review.
Who We're Looking For
We care about what you've shipped, what it changed, and what you fought for to make it happen. Most of this is true about you:

- You've shipped a customer-facing surface where AI brings value and the interface makes it usable and trustworthy. An assistant, an automation running behind a clean UI, an ambient AI that anticipates and stays out of the way, or a human-in-the-loop review/approval flow - a real product people relied on. You can talk about the interaction decisions you made and the number they moved.
- You like small, lean teams and scope your own work. You work on a problem, not a ticket. You break hard problems down: edge cases, failure modes, business goals, UX, and make the calls, discussing them with colleagues. You don't stand up in standup promising something is done when you don't yet know how much work is left.
- You hold a high bar on quality and craft. Clean state management, accessible and consistent design system usage, performance that holds up under real data. You don't ship and hope it's fine.
- You're a product-minded, frontend-first engineer. React/TypeScript is home. You're comfortable in modern design systems, client-side routing, and type-safe data layers (we use GraphQL, tRPC, and Prisma), and you're not afraid to look at the API or a third-party integration when the feature needs it. You think about data models and state, not just components.
- You've adopted AI-native ways of working. You use Claude, Cursor, or Copilot as part of your daily workflow, not as a novelty. You know how to get useful output from them, when to trust it, and when to be skeptical. Bonus if you've built tooling or workflows that leveled up your whole team, not just yourself.
- You work collaboratively. You share design patterns, component libraries, code conventions, and workflow tooling with your colleagues. You have strong opinions, and you know when to make trade-offs versus ship fast and revisit later.
Bonus points: Experience in fintech, European finance, accounting, or workflow-automation domains. You understand (or are hungry to learn) what VAT codes, GL accounts, reconciliation, and bank feeds actually are, because the interfaces you build live and die on getting that domain right.
What Impact You'll Have
- Own frontend surfaces end to end: review queues, confidence cues, match-confirmation, and approval flows that let customers and accountants trust Neno's AI
- Shape the UX of trust: decide how confidence is communicated, what needs human verification before it's final, and how errors get caught and corrected
- Raise the frontend bar for the broader engineering team through code review, shared component patterns, and AI-native workflow tooling
- Work closely with design, product, and AI engineers to turn a non-deterministic backend into a simple, dependable experience
