How You'll Contribute

A Market IT&S Director who excels in this role:

Provides strategic leadership and oversight for Information Technology & Services (IT&S) across the assigned market.

Aligns market IT operations with enterprise strategies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Ensures reliable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that support clinical, operational, and business objectives across multiple facilities.

Partners with system IT leadership, market/facility executives, and cross-functional teams to drive innovation, performance improvement, and data-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Alignment & Strategic Leadership

Serve as the primary liaison between market/facility leadership and enterprise IT, ensuring market/facility needs are represented in system-wide planning and that enterprise strategies are effectively implemented at the market/facility level.

Participate in enterprise governance councils and contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance, cybersecurity, and technology standards.

Lead the market's IT strategic planning process, aligning technology initiatives with market, facility, and enterprise goals.

Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

Oversee day-to-day market-level IT operations across assigned facilities, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services, ensuring high availability and performance of clinical and business systems.

Ensure IT service management processes, incident response, and change management are consistently implemented and monitored across the market and in accordance with enterprise policies.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) and participate in audits, inspections, and accreditation processes.

Project & Change Management

Lead or support enterprise IT initiatives across all market facilities, including but not limited to EHR upgrades, cybersecurity initiatives, digital transformation efforts, and initiatives to reduce technical debt within the market's data center; perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field required, or 7+ years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required.

5+ years of progressive IT management experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare and multi-site or enterprise environments.

Demonstrated experience with hospital IT operations, EHR systems, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and project management. Experience with multi-site hospital IT operations preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills; ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and enterprise teams.

Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and IT staff development.

Knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in healthcare IT.
