Senior Cisco Network Engineer

ALTSHIFT CONSULTING LTD. is looking for a senior Cisco network engineer for one of its projects with full remote, and full-time engagement with German AND English kowledge.

The candidates should be located physically in the European Union countries, beacuse of the the client's data security regulations.

Role : senior Cisco network engineer

Start date: September 2024

Duration: 1 year+

Full-time, remote, contractor-type engagement

German - B2 and English - B2 ( Both MUST HAVE)

Skillset: Cisco, Cisco ACI, ITIL processes, Communication skills, Analytical thinking, Team cooperation, Mentoring

Description:     

Configuration and Management: configuring and managing the ACI fabric, which includes fabric switches, spine switches, leaf switches, Application Policy Infrastructure Controllers (APICs), and other ACI components. This involves tasks such as creating VLANs, port channels, access policies, and endpoint groups.

Troubleshooting: diagnosing and resolving issues related to ACI fabric operation, connectivity, and policy enforcement.

Security: Implementing security best practices within the ACI fabric to protect against security threats and vulnerabilities. This includes configuring features such as micro segmentation, role-based access control (RBAC), and encryption to enhance the security posture of the ACI environment

Deployment and Configuration: Deploying WAF appliances or software solutions and configuring them according to the organization's security policies and requirements. This includes defining rulesets, configuring security policies, and specifying which web applications or services are protected by the WAF.

Participation on on-call duties, independent solving and troubleshooting of incidents and errors within defined expertise.
