About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves owning the frontend architecture of our TypeScript/React application, establishing technical standards, and designing scalable user interface patterns for complex geospatial workflows utilizing Cesium. The successful candidate will be instrumental in mentoring engineering teams, collaborating with leadership on project priorities, and contributing to the development of production-quality code daily. This role is inherently hands-on and coding-intensive, requiring a leader who leads by example through practical implementation and technical excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building and scaling sophisticated front-end systems, with a focus on performance, maintainability, and user experience in data-heavy, interactive applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in building and scaling front-end systems
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript
• Strong architectural judgment with the ability to balance rapid development and long-term maintainability
• Proven experience leading complex UI projects, especially interactive, data-rich applications where performance is critical
• Experience working with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Material-UI)

• Define and maintain the front-end architecture and technical standards for our TypeScript/React application
• Design and implement scalable UI patterns for complex geospatial workflows, utilizing Cesium and related technologies
• Establish best practices for state management, component architecture, performance optimization, testing, and maintainability
