Key Responsibilities
Support applications in production (L2, L3, or a mix), including legacy environments.
Utilize daily command line use and scripting (Shell, Python or equivalent) on Linux/Unix systems.
Install application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, WebLogic or similar) and deploy applications manually, ensuring end-to-end functionality.
Diagnose production problems from logs, HTTP errors (4xx/5xx), connectivity or configuration issues, and follow them through to root cause.
Write SQL queries and work comfortably in Oracle (PL/SQL, SQL Developer), SQL Server or equivalent.
Run batch processing and scheduling (Control-M, Autosys or similar), including scheduling jobs, monitoring them, handling failures and dependency issues, and following file transfers.
Work in a structured way with incident, problem and change management.
Keep documentation current, including operating procedures, CMDB, obsolescence and vulnerability tracking.
Improve systems through automation and monitoring.

We're not expecting one person to tick every box β€” if you recognise yourself in most of the list, we'd like to talk.


  • Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
  • At least 5 years supporting applications in production β€” L2, L3, or a mix β€” including legacy environments
  • Strong Linux/Unix skills: daily command line use and your own scripting (Shell, Python or equivalent)
  • You can install an application server (Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, WebLogic or similar), deploy an application manually, and get it running end-to-end
  • You can diagnose a production problem from logs, HTTP errors (4xx/5xx), connectivity or configuration issues, and follow it through to root cause
  • You write your own SQL and work comfortably in Oracle (PL/SQL, SQL Developer), SQL Server or equivalent
  • You have run batch processing and scheduling (Control-M, Autosys or similar): scheduling jobs, monitoring them, handling failures and dependency issues, and following file transfers
  • You work in a structured way with incident, problem and change management, and keep documentation current β€” operating procedures, CMDB, obsolescence and vulnerability tracking. ITIL, Confluence and JIRA useful here
  • You want to improve the systems you support through automation and monitoring β€” Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins or Dynatrace a real plus
  • Fluent in English and French (C1)
