Job Description

Recruitment Consultant – Data, Analytics & AI – Relocate to Perth, Australia

Perth CBD | AUD $80-£100k+ including super + commission

Sponsorship/relocation route available for eligible candidates | WFH Wednesdays

Have you ever seriously considered moving to Australia?

My client is growing its technology recruitment team in Perth, Western Australia, and this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced recruiter, or potentially a strong more junior recruiter or B2B salesperson who wants to combine a long-term career move with a genuinely different lifestyle.

I have worked with the Director leading this team for more than 10 years. He recently relocated from Brighton to Perth himself, and I know him to be an excellent manager who develops people well and creates a supportive, high-performing environment.

The market

The team operates across:

  • Data & Analytics
  • Data Science
  • Head of Data / Data Leadership
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cyber

Data & Analytics is currently the largest market and crosses almost every sector, giving recruiters a broad client base and plenty of opportunity to develop specialist relationships.

The initial geographical focus is Perth and Western Australia.

This is a particularly relationship-driven recruitment market. The office is in Perth CBD, close to many clients, and successful recruiters are encouraged to get out, meet people and build genuine face-to-face relationships rather than operating entirely through email and LinkedIn.

Who could suit this?

The ideal person will probably have:

  • Ideally 2+ years of 360 recruitment experience
  • Confidence developing client relationships and winning business
  • A consultative, relationship-led style

Life in Perth

Perth offers a very different lifestyle from the UK while still providing a substantial professional market. Western Australia has significant wealth generated through mining, natural resources and associated industries, with major investment continuing across infrastructure and the wider economy.

For someone relocating from the UK, some of the attractions include:

  • Warm weather for much of the year
  • Beaches and outdoor lifestyle
  • Relatively inexpensive public transport
  • Excellent housing options compared with many parts of southern England
  • Strong hospitality and restaurant scene
  • A wealthy and growing local economy
  • A much shorter commute for many people than London life

The current team also includes several people with UK and Irish backgrounds, so there are people around who understand exactly what relocating from this side of the world involves.

Working environment

  • Perth CBD office
  • Core hours approximately 08:00–17:00
  • WFH Wednesday
  • Fridays commonly finish early, often around midday
  • Sociable team environment
  • Relationship-led rather than heavily transactional recruitment
  • Access to highly experienced Managing Partners with extensive knowledge of the Perth market

Salary

Starting salaries are expected to be around AUD $80,000- $100k + including superannuation, with flexibility depending on experience.

Commission and the overall package will be discussed according to level.

The company can explore visa sponsorship and relocation options for eligible candidates.

Eligibility will depend on the appropriate Australian visa route and individual circumstances.

If moving to Perth has been something you have considered – even if you are only beginning to explore whether it is realistic – get in touch for a confidential conversation.

You do not need to have made a final decision about relocating before speaking with us.
