💰 Salary: ₦200,000–₦250,000 monthly

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to take end-to-end ownership of a multi-sided digital platform serving customers, vendors, logistics drivers and administrators.

The ideal candidate must be equally skilled in frontend and backend development and capable of independently auditing a complex codebase, resolving technical debt and implementing secure, scalable architectural solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

🔹 End-to-End Platform Ownership

• Architect, build and maintain Next.js/React frontend interfaces and Node.js/PostgreSQL backend services.

• Ensure seamless integration across customer, vendor, logistics driver and admin portals.

• Take ownership of technical decisions and platform improvements.

🔹 Security and Technical Debt Remediation

• Identify and resolve critical security vulnerabilities.

• Fix edge-function authorization gaps.

• Enforce strict Row Level Security policies.

• Eliminate unprotected API routes and other security risks.

🔹 Database and Concurrency Management

• Design robust relational database schemas and optimize indexing.

• Implement strict transaction controls and locking mechanisms.

• Prevent race conditions during high-volume inventory checkouts and wallet transactions.

🔹 DevOps and Release Operations

• Establish and maintain an automated CI/CD pipeline.

• Replace manual publishing processes with reliable release workflows.

• Ensure zero-downtime deployments, secure environment-variable management and dependable staging and production environments on AWS or Supabase.

🔹 Third-Party Integrations and Reliability

• Build idempotent webhook handlers for payment gateways such as Paystack and Stripe.

• Integrate external carrier and logistics APIs.

• Implement reliable fallbacks, monitoring and error-handling processes.

🔹 Testing and Code Quality

• Enforce strict TypeScript type safety and eliminate bypassed type checks.

• Build and maintain reliable unit and end-to-end automated tests.

• Improve code quality and prevent regressions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• At least five years of professional software engineering experience building and scaling production-grade full-stack applications and multi-sided marketplaces.

• Advanced practical experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and TanStack Query.

• Ability to independently develop polished and responsive user interfaces.

• Strong knowledge of Node.js, Express, RESTful API design, asynchronous request validation using Zod or Joi, and centralized error handling.

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and Supabase, including complex migrations, query optimization and Row Level Security.

• Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, DigitalOcean or Supabase.

• Practical experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and working with PM2 and Nginx.

• A strong portfolio of completed projects, including at least one live revenue-generating application.

• Demonstrated experience building platforms that solve real-world operational problems.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

1. Autonomy: The ability to audit a complex codebase, identify technical debt and independently implement architectural solutions.
2. Production Experience: Practical experience resolving live payment webhook failures, database deadlocks, race conditions or concurrency bottlenecks.
3. Full-Stack Balance: Equal depth in frontend architecture and secure, scalable backend and database development.
