Senior Data Platform Engineer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our team and help design and deliver scalable, cloud-native data and platform solutions.

You’ll work across GCP, data engineering, APIs, event-driven architecture, and GenAI, while collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to provide technical leadership and mentor other engineers.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• 5+ Strong experience designing and delivering cloud-native data or platform solutions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with GCP, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Run, IAM and monitoring.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills and experience with REST APIs and OAuth 2.0.
• Strong knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with GenAI applications, preferably using Vertex AI or LangChain, including RAG.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring developers and taking technical ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with Collibra, Flowable Engine and Groovy.
• Experience integrating Collibra with GCP/Dataplex.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, PCI and zero-trust IAM.
• Experience with Secret Manager or HashiCorp Vault, Model Context Protocol (MCP).
