About the Role

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a UI/UX Web Designer to create innovative website designs and modern interactive digital experiences for clients across industries and market segments. The designer will lead the full design process from initial concepts through final layouts while collaborating closely with developers to translate client requirements into polished, interactive websites. The ideal candidate is an experienced web designer with strong Figma skills, a portfolio demonstrating high-quality web design work, and experience with prototyping and user-centered design. This role is well suited to a creative, detail-oriented designer who can confidently present and defend design decisions, incorporate feedback, and take initiative in solving complex design problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full web design process, including conceptualization, design creation, wireframing, storyboarding, and final mobile and desktop layouts.
• Apply current design trends and modern branding styles to create compelling digital products and brand experiences.
• Develop visually compelling website designs with attention to pixel-level detail.
• Use user research and insights to identify user needs and translate them into website features, workflows, and detailed interactions.
• Incorporate research insights into design and product strategy.
• Clearly communicate the purpose, rationale, and thought process behind design decisions to internal teams and clients.
• Create high-quality digital experiences for clients ranging from SMB to enterprise organizations.
• Promote user-centered design practices among team members, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
• Collaborate with strategy and business development teams on new business opportunities and creative aspects of sales pursuits.
• Take ownership of high-end design projects while collaborating effectively with team members and incorporating feedback.
• Participate in design critiques with internal teams and clients and iterate designs to achieve polished final products.
• Creatively address project requirements while maintaining high-quality design standards aligned with client strategies and objectives.
• Maintain organized design files, layers, and folders.
• Work with the President and department leaders throughout project processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of website design experience.
• Proficiency with Figma.
• Portfolio showcasing previous web design projects.
• Prototyping experience.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to communicate design concepts and decisions effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with clients, developers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
• Experience working through design feedback and iterative processes.
