Senior Data Engineer

Location: 100% remote in Romania (preferably in Cluj)

As a Senior Data Engineer at our client’s company, you will be helping our customers to make guests happy by collecting, validating, enriching, and making available downstream a large amount of data to feed their SaaS products.

** You are a perfect fit, if you have...

● More than 10 years of total experience, with at least 4 years focused on data intensive applications

● Proficiency in Python for data processing and manipulation

● Hands-on experience with Kafka for building streaming-based data pipelines

● Solid understanding of multiple relational and non relational database systems, like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch or ClickHouse

● Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

● Knowledge of SRE tools and techniques

● Excellent teamwork skills, with clear communication, flexibility, openness to debate and challenge, and the ability to mentor other team members

● An agile mindset to deliver great products with an iterative approach

● Fluent in English

● Experienced with owning a complex subsystem / building one from scratch

● Experienced making impactful architectural choices with detailed trade-off analysis

● Experienced in designing and implementing scalable data-intensive APIs

● Having a bias for the automation of testing and deployment
