We are seeking a Senior/Principal Game Systems Designer to join an established and innovative game studio, focused on delivering engaging free-to-play (F2P) titles. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and optimizing game systems and economies that enhance both player retention and monetization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop game systems, balancing mechanics, progression, and pacing to create engaging player experiences.
- Manage and optimize game economies, including virtual currencies, rewards, and in-game purchases, ensuring a balance between fun and monetization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement game systems that align with business objectives and player behavior.
- Conduct data-driven analysis to refine systems and economies, improving player retention and monetization strategies.
- Take ownership of the game progression design, ensuring the player experience is smooth and incentivized.
- 5+ years of experience in game systems design, preferably with F2P games.
- Strong knowledge of game economy design, including monetization strategies and virtual goods models.
- Proven ability to balance complex game systems and optimize for player retention and business performance.
- Experience with game engines such as Unity or similar tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to design and iteration.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
