Product Design Lead

Bjak is focused on providing access to affordable and sustainable financial services for people in ASEAN. Headquartered in Malaysia, Bjak is the largest insurance portal in Southeast Asia. Our main portal, Bjak.com, helps millions find the insurance policy with the best value and highest coverage for them. Our investments in technology such as Custom API, blockchain, trading systems and data science is to enable easy access to financial services that were previously inaccessible or difficult to understand.

Responsibilities:

• Advocate for end-users by influencing decisions to ensure that products, solutions, and design choices align with well-defined user needs and expectations
• Collaborate with product managers, UX writers, and engineers to translate business requirements into user-friendly products
• Act as a co-owner of the design system for iOS and Android, responsible for maintaining and expanding UI components to ensure platform-wide consistency
• Spearheaded the creation of over 20 animations aimed at enhancing user experience across both the app and website
• Communicate design proposals to stakeholders and engineering teams through end-to-end prototypes and detailed design documentation
• Support user researchers in conducting research sessions and gathering insights to inform design decisions
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design
• Proficiency in app ideation and development processes
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design leadership skills and successful projects
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional collaboration
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
• Passion for innovation and a relentless pursuit of excellence in design
