We are helping a fantastic team hire a technical leader to join their growing engineering division.

What to expect in your role:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprised of Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Designers. Together, you are developing a cutting-edge platform utilised by millions worldwide.

In a dynamic setting, this organisation embraces a flat structure, facilitating swift decision-making through ongoing feedback loops.

You’ll oversee a team of 5 engineers, comprising a blend of senior, mid-level, and junior members. Your role entails managing daily operations, eliminating obstacles, and upholding quality standards.

Despite the leadership aspect, you’ll remain deeply involved in coding, designing, and executing initiatives, maintaining a hands-on approach throughout.

About you:

• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams effectively.
• Proficient in full-stack software engineering, adept in JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Expertise in software architecture and proficiency in design patterns.
• Contributed to the development of large-scale B2C or B2B platforms serving a significant customer base.

Must have

• This role requires specific experience with search and analytics engines; AWS OpenSearch, Elasticsearch or Kibana.
• You need to have designed and developed search engines that deal with a high volume of customers.

Nice to haves

• Experience in startup or scale-up environments, adapting to rapid growth and change.
• Well-versed in DevOps methodologies and practices.
• Proficiency in AWS
