The Role:

As a Lead Application Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling the application security program for this fast-growing scale-up. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to implement secure-by-default product features. This hands-on leadership position requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working with cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of security features and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct threat modelling and code reviews.
• Drive the scaling of application security initiatives and programs.
• Foster strong partnerships across product teams to ensure security alignment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in application security, including scaling security programs for fast-growing companies. (AI experience is a huge plus but start-up/scale-up experience is must.)
• Strong technical background in coding and cryptography, with the ability to dive deep into security challenges and communicate effectively.
• Experience with SaaS products and understanding of cloud security considerations (especially AWS).
• Proven track record of building relationships with engineering teams and product managers.
